Activities and Student Groups 2026-2027

Arista, Queens Technical High School’s honor society, is an organization dedicated to recognizing and encouraging students who demonstrate excellence, not only in the classroom, but also as leaders in their schools and communities.  Arista standards of scholarship, leadership, service, and character will be considered as the basis of your selection.  No student is inducted simply because of a high academic average. The Cheerleading Team is a competitive student group, selected through a tryout process. The team meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 PM in the school cafeteria. Contact Ms. Irizarry for more information. Website

College Now is a program offered with the City University of New York that allows students to earn college credit while in high school. Contact your school counselor for more information. Website

Comics have dominated pop culture in the last two decades. Students will read some popular comics and encounter some new ones. They will draw and create their own if they want. The Gaming Club meets Tuesdays from 2:30-5:30 PM in room 358. Contact Mr. Muzamali for more information

The Leadership class meets Monday to Friday. This class helps to plan school events such as Spirit Week, dances, and trips. Contact Ms. Fung for details about how to apply.
