RoboTigers Advance to Semi-Finals at 2025 World Championship

Our 34 students spent 6 days of their spring break competing at the FIRST Robotics World Championships in Houston, TX against 601 teams from 30+ countries.

During that time, they:

  • Ranked 2nd on their field (tied with highest rank at champs ever).
  • Were alliance captains for playoffs for the first time ever at World Championships.
  • Made it to the semi-finals in close matches decided by just a few points. Matches can be viewed here: https://www.thebluealliance.com/team/1796
  • The (community) Impact students presented to judges at Championships about what the team does for their local and FIRST community, beyond just competing with a robot for the fourth time ever in our team’s history.

They also:

  • Were asked by FIRST to help run a service center to assist the 599 other teams as they competed because of the expertise in running a team service program at regional events.
  • Ended the season with their robot ranked statistically as #9 in the world, #7 in the USA, and #1 in New York State per statbotics.io

Finally, they had a great time competing hard trying to make their school and city proud while making some great friends with one another and students from around the world.

Thank you for supporting their passion. Their grit and determination competing in the face of some of the most well-funded and successful programs worldwide is only possible with a community of support around them, like you.
