On March 23-25, 2023 our robotics team participated in the Long Island FIRST Robotics Regional Competition. Our team was awarded the most prestigious award given by FIRST, the IMPACT AWARD. This award qualifies the team for the World Championships April 19-24, 2023 in Houston, Texas! This is the 3rd impact award in our team’s history. The students have worked tremendously hard to achieve this award. This shows that the work that we are doing is important and goes beyond just building a robot. In addition to receiving the Impact award, our mentor and Pre-Engineering Instructor Tia Singh was awarded the WOODIE FLOWERS AWARD. This award recognizes an individual who has done an outstanding job of motivation through communication while also challenging the students to be clear and succinct in their communications. Congratulations Ms. Singh!!!
