Cisco Networking
Program Description
This program prepares students for a networking career with the introduction of how networks operate. Students get a chance to build simple local area networks, have a working knowledge of IP addressing schemes, foundations of network security, and are able to perform basic configurations for routers and switches.

Requirements for Career and Technical Education Endorsed Diploma
Incoming freshmen are required to complete our Exploratory Program, which exposes students to the different majors we offer. Students who select 9th year computer technology also have the option of choosing Cisco at the end of 10th year. Students who select Cisco will go through the following sequence:
10th Year Cisco Networking
Basic computer assembly & troubleshooting, operating system and networking labs
11th Year Cisco Networking
Network fundamentals, LAN switching fundamentals, routing fundamentals, infrastructure services, infrastructure maintenance
12th Year Cisco Networking
Exam objectives: LAN switching technologies, routing technologies, WAN technologies, infrastructure services, infrastructure maintenance
